Short-Term Affects of Caffeine

Picture
This photo shows where caffeine affects you and what it does.
Short-term affects can appear within hours of consuming of this addicting drug. Short-term affects of caffeine can consist of the following:
-Caffeine has a diuretic effect and just one cup before exercising will trigger unwanted fluid loss
-Within half an hour of drinking one or two cups, the flow of the blood to the brain is reduced by 10% to 20%
-In excessive amounts, meaning more than whatever an individual's body can tolerate, coffee can cause nervousness, jitters, and rapid heartbeat

                                                         RATING OF SHORT TERM EFFECTS:

         0                             1                                         2                                                                                    4

no impact            minimal impact                 moderate impact                strong impact                 very strong impact

I believe that it has a strong impact because it can affect your sleeping habits negatively which affects your ability to think properly and reduces the amount of energy that we can produce which affects your everyday life and your ability to do physical activity. It does not have a very strong impact because it is not an addiction that can lead to death and does not have symptoms that can affect you so negatively that it can threaten the way you do things in the future.
